ProofList is designed to create site reports without a ProofList account or developer-operated cloud service. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves the device, and the choices you control.
Data collection
ProofList does not collect personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, diagnostic telemetry, precise location, contacts, or browsing history. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK.
Projects and findings
Project names, client and site fields, notes, findings, assignees, statuses, and related timestamps are stored in the app's local container on your device. The developer cannot access this content.
Camera and photo library
Camera access is used only when you choose to capture evidence. Photo-library access is used only for images you select. Chosen image data is copied into ProofList's local storage so it can appear in findings and exported reports.
PDF exports and sharing
PDF reports are generated on the device. Data leaves ProofList only when you choose a destination through the system share sheet. The privacy practices of that destination—such as Mail, Messages, cloud storage, or another app—are governed by its provider.
Project backups
When you choose Export project backup, ProofList creates a JSON file containing editable project records and the photo copies stored by the app. You choose where to save or share that file. When you select a backup to import, ProofList reads it on the device and adds project copies without uploading the file to the developer. Backup files can contain client, site, and photo information; you are responsible for protecting the destination you choose.
Purchases
Apple processes ProofList Pro purchases and restores through the App Store. ProofList reads verified StoreKit entitlement status so it can unlock paid features. The developer does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.
Integrity manifest
When enabled, ProofList calculates SHA-256 digests locally from stored image bytes and includes them in the PDF. The digest is not uploaded to the developer. It is a technical reference, not a legal certification.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete individual records or remove the app. Deleting the app can remove all locally stored projects and stored photo copies. ProofList does not create automatic or developer-hosted backups. Export an editable project backup and save important PDFs somewhere you control before deletion or device replacement.
Support messages
If you contact support by email, the developer receives the address and content you choose to send. Email is used only to answer the request and maintain necessary correspondence. Do not include confidential client information or identifiable inspection images unless essential and authorized.
Children
ProofList is a professional utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before the changed behavior is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
