Built around real attention

Structure when you need it. Flexibility when you don't.

Tempo combines a clear starting point with room to adjust. It is useful for deep work, study, chores, creative practice, or simply beginning the thing you have been avoiding.

01

Start at your size

Choose a session that feels possible, then extend it by 5, 10, or 15 minutes without breaking flow.

02

Shape the sound

Use ambient sound to create a steadier environment while you work.

03

Notice, don't judge

Reflections, statistics, and achievements help you spot patterns without turning focus into surveillance.

Before you begin

A gentler timer, explained.

Tempo is free to download. Use the complete core timer first, then decide whether the deeper sound and progress tools are useful to you.

Is Tempo a Pomodoro timer?

It can run a 25-minute session, but Tempo does not force the Pomodoro method. Choose any duration and adjust the session when your attention changes.

What can I use for free?

Flexible and custom focus sessions, white noise, focus intentions, and today's focus total are included in the free experience.

What does Tempo Pro add?

More noise colors, 16 bundled nature recordings, deeper statistics, achievements, reflections, widgets, sharing, and optional iCloud sync.

Does Tempo stream its focus sounds?

No. Synthesized noise is generated on your device and the nature recordings are bundled for offline playback.

Do I need to create an account?

No Tempo account is required. Your focus history stays on your devices, with optional iCloud sync for Pro users.

Your next focused minute can start here.

Not sure a fixed timer fits? Read the flexible focus timer guide, or try Tempo free. Optional upgrades are available inside the app.

You can also use the practical brown-noise focus routine when a quieter, steadier background helps you begin.

If 25 minutes feels arbitrary, try the focus-timer method without a fixed Pomodoro rule.

Still choosing a background sound? Compare white noise and brown noise for focus with a small, repeatable test.

When beginning is the hardest part, try a five-minute focus start with one visible action.
