Find quick answers below. If something still is not working, contact the independent developer and include your Folio version, iOS version, and a short description of what happened.

Restore Folio Pro

  1. Confirm the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
  2. Open Folio and go to Settings.
  3. Choose Restore Purchases while connected to the internet.

Restoring does not charge you again. If Apple reports no active purchase, check the account's purchase history and subscription status before contacting support.

Book search and manual entry

Book search needs an internet connection and uses Google Books data. Try the exact title, an author name, or fewer words. If a book is missing or its page count is wrong, use manual entry so the journal matches your edition.

The free library limit

The free version supports up to 10 books. Existing books remain safe when the limit is reached. Folio Pro removes the limit and adds notes, complete statistics, annual challenges, ambient sounds, share cards, and CSV export.

Local data and export

The current version stores your journal on this device and does not require a Folio account. Deleting the app can remove its local data. Before replacing a device or deleting Folio, Pro users should open Settings → Export My Data and save the CSV file somewhere they control.

The CSV is a portable record for safekeeping or spreadsheets; the current app does not import that file back into Folio.

Notifications

If a reading reminder does not appear, open iOS Settings → Notifications → Folio and allow notifications. Then return to Folio Settings, turn the daily reminder off and on, and choose the time again.
